Showing of the Film Thunder Road

The Carolina Theatre in Downtown Spruce Pine will be showing the movie THUNDER ROAD starring Robert Mitchum Saturday October 6th with showings at 3pm and 7:30pm. Come see a classic about a story that takes place right here in the Appalachian Mountains in 1958. A veteran comes home from the Korean War to the mountains and takes over the family moonshining business. He has to battle big-city gangsters who are trying to take over the business and the police who are trying to put him in prison. Admission is a $5 donation for all tickets.

My family is thinking of moving to Spruce Pine?
I like what I see on the Web site. Would you move to Spruce Pine, if you were living in Sarasota Florida?
Maybe somebody there, would trade their home, for a home in Florida?

that was the first of many movies to come.
they are taking request for movies you want to see.

thunder road was a near sell out or full house.
well not a sell out because it was free to get in.
they were asking $5. donation and everyone was glad to give that and more.
