Coming to introduce my wife to area where father grew up and possible site for our retirement. Better to visit in August or October? Is October too wet or cold to visit real estate?

well, October is a great time to visit and see the leaves, but a lot of people come here during october, so if you want to come at a "slower" time of year, I would say late August or early September. It's still warm but not blistering hot either-August is one of our hotter months. Hope this helps!
