As you know, we allow guests to posts in our forums. However, this is double-edged sword. It allows visitors to ask questions without the hassle of registering, but it also attracts spammers (and worse) like flies.

As a warning, be EXTREMELY careful before you click on any _link_ (that is, a URL) in a forum message. Some of these may lead to potentially dangerous web pages that can harm your computer.

In general, these dangerous _link_s are easy to spot: if they aren't about Spruce Pine in some way, you shouldn't click on them. I delete these as soon as I see them, but often they are up for a few hours, so you should be wary of any non-Spruce Pine related posts.
